Import Postman collections

Fetchpier imports Postman v2.x collection JSON, including its environment files.

The collection can come from a local file, an HTTP(S) URL, or pasted raw text, chosen via tabs in the import wizard. The format is detected automatically from the input content (or you can pick it manually).

The import lands in the folder currently selected in the collection tree — or the folder containing the selected request; with nothing selected it lands at the root of the request tree. The wizard then prompts for:

  • Collection name — defaults to the collection’s name.
  • Conflict strategy when the target collection already exists: merge (add the requests, skipping any whose name collides with an existing request, and leaving every other request untouched) or abort (change nothing and report the conflict). No option deletes the existing collection.
  • Environment strategy — create a new environment from the file, merge it into the active one, or skip. This step is specific to Postman imports, which can carry environment files.

The generated requests use Fetchpier’s own .http format and are editable afterwards. For the full list of supported formats and the wizard, see the import overview.
