Installation

Fetchpier is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Every download is free and requires no account. Installers for every release are also published on GitHub Releases.

  1. Download the installer from the download page. The file is named Fetchpier-Installer-<version>.exe.
  2. Run the .exe and follow the NSIS installer steps (you can choose the install folder).
  3. If Windows SmartScreen warns you, click More info → Run anyway.
  4. The installer creates Start-menu and desktop shortcuts. The app launches as Fetchpier.

Available as .dmg and .zip, with separate builds for Apple Silicon (arm64) and Intel (x64).

  1. Download the right .dmg from the download page.
  2. Open the file and drag Fetchpier.app into Applications.
  3. On first launch, macOS Gatekeeper may show a warning. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.

Available as an AppImage or a .deb package (Debian / Ubuntu and derivatives).

Terminal window
chmod +x Fetchpier-*-linux-*.AppImage
./Fetchpier-*-linux-*.AppImage
Terminal window
sudo dpkg -i Fetchpier-*-linux-*.deb
# if dependencies are missing:
sudo apt-get install -f

The package installs the binary as fetchpier and registers a .desktop entry under the Development category.

Building the desktop application requires Node.js 22.19.0 or later and npm. Clone the public repository, install the locked dependencies, and start the development build:

Terminal window
git clone https://github.com/dmonza/fetchpier.git
cd fetchpier
npm install
npm run dev

Use npm run build for a production build and the platform-specific packaging scripts defined in package.json when producing an installer. The separately installed fp CLI also requires Node.js 22.19.0 or later; see Get started with fp.

Fetchpier has a built-in check for updates (menu Help → Check for Updates…). It runs only when you click Check now, reads the product catalogue at https://public.sincrum.com/products.json, and tells you when a new version is available, with a link to the project’s GitHub Releases page. The app never downloads or installs anything on its own. See Update checks.
