Welcome to Fetchpier
Fetchpier is a desktop HTTP client — an alternative to tools like Postman, Insomnia, or Bruno. It runs as a native desktop application on macOS, Windows, and Linux, and is built around two ideas.
Everything lives on the filesystem
Section titled “Everything lives on the filesystem”There is no embedded database, no cloud sync, and no account. You pick a folder — a workspace — and Fetchpier organizes every collection, request, environment, cookie, and activity log inside it as plain text or JSON files. The workspace is Git-friendly by design: you can commit it, diff it, branch it, and review changes like any other source tree.
No CORS, no browser sandbox
Section titled “No CORS, no browser sandbox”Requests are sent from a desktop process, not a browser, so cross-origin restrictions do not apply. Self-signed certificates, custom certificate authorities, proxies, and HTTP/2 are first-class features rather than afterthoughts.
Fetchpier is single-user and single-machine. Team collaboration is delegated to whatever Git, Dropbox, or network-share workflow you already use for the workspace folder.
