v0.9.0

Release date: 2026-04-21

Fetchpier 0.9.0 is the first beta version, available for Windows, macOS and Linux.

  • Filesystem-based workspaces: one folder = one workspace.
  • App state in .fetchpier/settings.json (workspace settings) and environments/<env>/.state/ (per-environment cookies).
  • Top-level artifacts: requests/ (the .http tree) and environments/<env>/config.json (one per environment).
  • A log of every send in requests/.runs/ (formerly “history”), git-ignored by default.
  • File watcher: on-disk changes are reflected in the UI live.
  • Last 5 workspaces remembered on the welcome screen.
  • Plain .http format, versionable with Git.
  • Multi-tab editor with CodeMirror 6 and {{variable}} highlighting.
  • URL bar, headers, query params, body and per-request settings.
  • Bearer, Basic and API Key (header or query) authentication.
  • Per-request and per-workspace HTTP settings: HTTP version (1.1 / 2 / auto), SSL validation, redirects, URL encoding, cookie jar.
  • Per-environment persisted cookie jar.
  • {{ }} variable syntax in URL, headers, body, params and scripts.
  • One environment per folder under environments/<env>/ with its config.json.
  • Environment Manager in the UI and quick access from the command palette.
  • Pre-request and post-response scripts in a synchronous sandbox (no network, no filesystem, no Promise/timers, 5s timeout).
  • fp.* API to read and mutate request/response/environment/variables.
  • Chai-style assertions with fp.test + fp.expect.
  • Tests panel with results, logs and export to JSON or JUnit XML.
