Import OpenAPI / Swagger
Fetchpier imports OpenAPI 3.x and Swagger 2.x schemas, in either JSON or YAML.
The schema can come from a local file, an HTTP(S) URL, or pasted raw text, chosen via tabs in the import wizard. The format is detected automatically from the input content (or you can pick it manually).
The import lands in the folder currently selected in the collection tree — or the folder containing the selected request; with nothing selected it lands at the root of the request tree. The wizard then prompts for:
- Collection name — defaults to the schema’s title.
- Conflict strategy when the target collection already exists: merge (add the schema’s requests, skipping any whose name collides with an existing request, and leaving every other request untouched) or abort (change nothing and report the conflict). No option deletes the existing collection — to start fresh, delete it yourself first.
Each operation in the schema becomes a request in Fetchpier’s own .http format, organised into
folders, and the result summary reports how many requests, folders, and environment variables were
created along with any per-operation warnings. Once imported, the collection is editable like any
hand-authored one.
